Yay for Vandals!
January 18, 2009
So tonight we were watching Short Circuit, yeah, the one from the 80′s. Classic. And the fire alarm started going off. We, along with the vast majority of the residents of the Phoenix Lofts gathered out in the freezing cold on 2nd Avenue and waited on the firemen to come shut off the piercing alarm so that we could return to our movie. As if that wasn’t enough…after the movie was over my friend Cary Norton came over and asked me if I’d check my car yet. I had no clue what he was talking about, so he filled me in that someone had vandalized the parking garage during the fire alarm. Jessi’s car is down there too, so Cary, Jessi and I headed down to the garage. The elevators are still not functioning from the alarm which shut them down, so we ran down the 6 flights of stairs to the basement. As soon as we got there we found Cary’s scooter laying on it’s side, along with several others…and then we started noticing that several of the cars were missing their side mirrors. We got around the corner to our cars…Jessi’s was fine. But mine…well…let’s just say I’m on mirror lighter now. Bummer. At least I didn’t get my windshield smashed with a scooter helmet like Jane did. Sad times at the phoenix.
*ed* I forgot to mention that the vandals went up to the 2nd floor of the building where they ripped the conduit and light fixtures off of the ceiling leaving half of the floor in darkness and shattering fluorescent tubes all over the floor. Awesome.

That stinks! I’m sorry!
