So apparently I’ve been a bit distracted for the past few days, and my blog has suffered accordingly. It’s usually a good sign that you haven’t blogged enough when the little line in google analytics drops drastically! So, thanks to that little line, I’ve decided to try and get back on my blogging like I was for a while there. The thing is, I’m shooting, and have shot just as much if not more than I was shooting before. But that seems to be the problem now. Too much to do, to think about, to edit…it’s keeping me from updating the main site, my flickr and obviously my blog. So…a pledge…I will post a new picture every day for the next 2 weeks! whew. Got that out of my system…now let’s see what happens with that. Anyways…my past few days have been filled with 2 things: painting Kim’s studio and planning, editing and preparing my print portfolio of portraiture (bands and other commercial work). There’s not a lot to say about the first…other than I’ve been covered in a nice beige for the past few days. But the portfolio…that’s taking a lot of time, money and tears. It’s a huge process to pick through over a years worth of photography and narrow my entire career to date down to a single book of 30 – 50 images and then make them all work together to represent me as a photographer. Once I get it done I’ll make it available online for web viewing and post it on here. For now, the first of my two week image commitment: This is a shot of the family that I did a documentary on in Reynosa a few weeks ago cooking the food that gave me dysentery. Despite my weak stomach they were an AMAZING family and I can’t wait to finish up the project and make it live to show you all! For now…have a wonderful Wednesday evening!
