Hello all, and happy Friday! We are working hard on some updates to the site, one of which will be to fix this blog. We realize that the navigation is very confusing on the blog, and so we’re replacing it with something a little more user friendly. Please be patient with us, and we’ll have the new blog up soon. That being said, I’ve spent the last several days cleaning off my to-do desk, which basically involves scanning tons of film and prints, and then cataloging the negs. It’s tons of fun, believe me. So here are a few shots that I scanned of some of my friends that I took with my bronica’s polaroid back. These guys have all be friends of mine for a long time, and all have visited me from time to time here in my loft. J. W. is the bass player for Candlefuse, and use to play in a band with my roommate Roger who I’ve mentioned in previous blogs. Dub has been a friend for years, and if I remember correctly bought me my first drink at a bar. Ben is the drummer for candlefuse, and also use to play with Roger. He and I skateboarded years ago and have been friends ever since. You should all meet these guys, as they are some of the coolest people around, and that’s a fact. The third person is my friend Mark Webster. He lived in Auburn and also skateboarded with me, almost every day for several years. Mark moved to Huntsville and is still a collector of anything and everything vintage. Also still a good skateboarder from what I hear (that makes one of us). The final few pics are some random film that I found from a shoot with I Am Terrified and Seth Newell a while back. Just some neat stuff that I thought I’d share. Oh, and the poster is something that Josh designed for Roger using a photo that I took. I thought it was pretty rad so I figured that I’d share it with you. New blog is coming, perhaps in a few days. Also Paul, whom I blogged about earlier, will be joining me on this blog as he is now an official part of Stephen DeVries Photo. More on that next time. Ciao
