Welcome to the new Stephen DeVries Weddings Blog! We’re in the middle of a lot of changes here at Stephen DeVries Photo, one of which is the launch of our new wedding site which will be coming soon! This will be our new blog to write about our fantastic clients, share our inspirations, videos, photos, vendors…this will be the place to come to see what’s happening with Stephen DeVries Weddings. I will still be writing on my other blog (www.stephendevriesphoto.com/chronicles) but it’s going to be more of a daily photo journal, so be sure to stop in there as well. For those of you who don’t know us, I’m going to take a second to introduce my amazing team. I am blessed to work with some really fun and super talented people everyday and they really are a huge part of what keeps SDP running.

First I would like you to meet Jessi Lambert.

Jessi is my studio manager and basically makes things work. Without her there’s no telling what would happen…but I’m pretty sure it’d be nothing short of a complete and total disaster. Not only is Jessi amazing with details and organizing (unlike me!) but she’s also a very talented photographer and acts as my second shooter on many of our weddings. She’s become very good at assisting as well, lugging gear, loading film, setting up lights and doing it all in a great mood always. Jessi is a huge part of our company and if you have anything to do with us you’ll surely meet her and instantly love her!

This is Paul Bryant:

Paul is maybe the most talented human being I know. Let me expand upon that…Paul knows how to do more things than most people, and does everything that he does like a pro. And not just that; if there’s something that he wants to do but doesn’t know how, he’ll get online, read a book, and by the next day he’ll be an expert. Paul has a company called Kinora and he produces amazing wedding videos. AMAZING wedding videos. Paul also acts as my second shooter on many of my weddings. He’s done everything from making pricing guides to putting together my temporary homepage. Paul has been here with me from the very beginning and has been a part of every major decisions in marketing, direction and planning for SDP.

And then there’s me.

I’m Stephen (like the site says!). You’ll get to know me more and more as you keep up with the blog, but here’s the basics: I’m a photographer. I love the word Classic and I want it to apply to everything that I do. Timeless is a great word too. I shoot film and love it. I’m slightly addicted to polaroids, so if you work with me you’ll probably get your share of them! I love to travel and I love documentary photography (or photojournalism if you prefer). I (along with Paul and Jessi) work for a non-profit called Bedouins International (check us out here) and we travel the world to bring great media to other non-profits and ministries with good stories to tell but no way of telling them. That’s all I’ve got for you today…
