In honor of this ‘fall-like’ weather that we’ve been seeing a bit of lately I have a very ‘fall-like’ post for you guys.  This is from an event I shot last year as part of a pitch piece out on Long Island in New York.  A friend of mine from Times Square Church, where I worked all last year, owned the largest small sail boat store in the country and they do a lot to really raise up the next generation of sailers in New York.  This particular weekend in October they hosted what they’ve titled the ‘great pumpkin regatta’, a sailboat race for kids that was themed around the upcoming Halloween weekend.  We went out there for the day and photographed the race and the award ceremony and really had a blast being out on the water all day (despite how freezing cold it was!).  I was really impressed with how good these kids were at sailing and how much fun they all had doing it.  Here are some of the selects from the day:
