Thanksgiving in Mexico
December 2, 2007
Well as we tweak the site and get all of the little kinks worked out, I’m going to continue on my Bedouins re-cap, because Bedouins has been on my mind, and my heart a lot lately. This year, I’ve been to Reynosa, Mexico three times, the most recent being over thanksgiving break. My work in Reynosa began in March, when I went on a mission trip with Harvest Evangelism to work at an orphanage there, and ended up publishing the book “Discovering Joy.” It was this first trip out of the country, and the response to the book that God used to establish Bedouins International. So as a company we picked up a project at the orphanage that we started at, and Thanksgiving break became the time to do it. We drove down again (20ish hours) and spent the week filming for a promotional video that the orphanage is going to use to help raise awareness and hopefully support. It was the perfect way to spend our thanksgiving, living in the orphanage with 60 girls, and seeing life from their eyes for a few days. The trip was an amazing success and we got lots of great footage and took some photos that we’re going to use to re-design their brochure with as well. Here are a few photos of the team that we took with us, and ourselves, along with some of the orphanage itself and the girls there. We’ll have the video and brochure up on the Bedouins International website before too long.![]()
