Pentax Point and Shoot
August 24, 2008
Until my recent trip with Jessi, I had no clue how many thrift stores Portland had. Wow. At one of those thrift stores I found an old (by old I mean early 90′s ish) Pentax point and shoot 35mm camera. The type that everyone had 15 years ago when digital was still super new, or maybe not out yet. It’s the type of camera that your mom carried in her purse…that focuses, sort of, and meters and everything all by it’s self. No control. Jump a few weeks forward and half a continent back East to Magnolia Spring and Gulf Shores, where I loaded that baby up with some Portra 160NC and blasted a roll off at the beach. Here are a few of the shots that I got back. It reminds me a little of a lomo.

I LOVE the next to the last one.

I like the next to last one too. It’s caption could be: “Make way beach fowl…Jessi’s comin’ through.”
