Matthew and Kelly: Wedding
March 30, 2010
I’m so excited to share with you my first wedding of the 2010 wedding season! Matthew and Kelly, despite being my first wedding of the year, were one of the last couples that I booked before moving to NYC. We did their engagement session literally days before I packed the truck and headed north.
The wedding was simply beautiful and perfectly intimate. They had about 40/50 guests, and the ceremony was held in a beautiful late 1800′s church in Calera, Alabama. The wedding party was made up of Kelly’s sister and Matthew’s two brothers. It was a fun day for family and close friends to celebrate, and they did just that!
Kelly’s father works for Coke-a-cola, so they had old fashioned glass cokes at the reception, where their friends and family enjoyed cake, food and some good music. What a perfect way to kick off this years wedding season!
Matthew and Kelly…congratulations and thank you so much for including us in your fantastic wedding!

Stephen! Beautiful work! I’ve only been following your work for a short while and I have become truly inspired. You completely embraced the environment around you on their wedding day and made every background, every angle, every capture-memorable. I am curious; what type of film stock did you use for the b/w’s and color? Other than that; great work!!! Look forward to the next post!
