Let the Adventure begin
December 24, 2007
I am officially off on my adventure, as mentioned earlier. It feels so nice to be out of Birmingham, knowing that I’m going to see new places and experience new things, all the while taking it in by means of a break, a vacation. No deadlines, or commitments or jobs. I can just sit back, relax and take it all in. I’m in auburn now, back at the local coffee shop working on the intro to my book again. I’m still trying to figure out how to be a writer, but it’s coming. Tomorrow is Christmas by the way! I can’t believe how quickly it came this year, but somehow I feel like I say that every year. Still, I’m very excited that it’s here. I have yet to establish a counter of any sort on my website, so I have no clue if anyone is reading this, or even visiting my site in general, it’s a mystery! If you are reading this, thank you for your interest in my chaotic life, hopefully this spring will prove a good catalyst for some interesting new blogs. I’ll be in Moscow, Baton Rouge, Paris maybe and who knows where else, so I feel like I’ll have some good new material. I am also dating an amazing, beautiful girl in Birmingham now, hence why my adventure started a few days later than originally expected. Jessi is my neighbor, director of development for Bedouins, and has been my good friend for a good while now, she’s been in several pictures throughout the life span of this blog, and I assure you she’ll show up in more! We had our portraits taken by Don VanCleave a few days ago backstage at the Wild Sweet Orange show in Birmingham, so whenever he sends me those I’ll post them. Well, I think that is all that I have for you, I’m sitting here with my friend Paul Dow drinking a chai and working on the intro to my book, so back to work I go. If you feel so inclined, let me know that you’re on here, checking this out at connect@stephendevriesphoto.com. Merry Christmas!
