Back on track for another day or two…this is my second to last post on Jordan.  During our break in the middle of our trip we spent one day with a friend, Henry, from the ministry driving around and seeing several of the historical Biblical sites nearby.  The first half of our day was spent driving through the desert up to Mount Nebo, the spot where God showed Moses the promised land but he couldn’t go in.  From the top of the mountain we could see the Dead Sea, the Jordan River and Jericho…it was pretty spectacular.

After we were done with Mount Nebo we drove down and went to the Bethany Wilderness and to the spot where John the Baptist lived, and baptized Jesus.  It was pretty cool being in spots that I’ve read about in the Bible and heard about in church all of my life.
