Birmingham for me has been an amazing opportunity to meet and collaborate with other photographers. But the longer that I’ve lived here the more it’s gone above and beyond that. For my organization, Bedouins International, it’s become a chance for us to meet and work with designers, videographers, photographers, writers…artists of every sort. It’s been amazing. Roger Eason is my roomate, friend and business partner, and I’ve blogged about him and his music several times in the past. Working with Roger has given me chances to be a part of all sorts of music, and learn about all types of new artists, as well as him moving here opened up the door for him to collaborate on several levels with musicians from all over. All of that being said, last Friday I got to photograph a show at workplay that was unlike any I’ve photographed before. The Grey Haven show was the beginning of a now ongoing collaborative, music work forcer here in Birmingham, that Roger has jumped into, and thus brought me along in some way. The show was amazing, featuring tons of artists, playing with each other and working together with all sorts of styles…something worth checking out for sure. If you’re interested in hearing the music from the show you can download it HERE. I would highly recommend checking it out. Here are some shots from the night of the various artists who performed. Don’t forget to check out the full gallery Here to see everyone from the night!.
