When I lived in Auburn I regularly attended a college ministry called Encounter. I got involved when I moved in with some friends who were in the band, and once I started going I instantly fell in love with the powerful worship, the great fellowship and the amazing message delivered each week. Encounter was a huge part of my life, and a part of my development in my relationship with Christ. But another thing that Encounter was to me was a place where I could grow as a photographer. I started doing photography for Encounter very early on in my career as a photography student at Auburn, and I ended up doing the photography for their live album they released last fall. Encounter gave me a place to come each week and shoot, allowing me to grow a ton in my confidence as a photographer and also in my skill as such. I had the opportunity last week to travel with Jessi back to Auburn and attend Encounter for the first time in a while, and I took my 5D along to take some photos.
