DeVries Family Christmas Cruise
January 11, 2010
I want to preface this post with this: This may be my favorite blog post ever. Not only am I in love with how all of these photos came out, but I had a great time with my family on the cruise and am so glad that we got to go before I move to NYC.
Going on a cruise is something that I’ve thought about in the past but never actually done. For my family though, it was a little more “out of the blue” as far as I knew. One day my mom or dad mentioned that this year for Christmas we might go on a cruise and the next thing I knew they were giving me dates. We were all really excited to get to spend Christmas together and to kick the break off with a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas.
The first night started off windy and a little wavy, and turned into some strong winds/rain that stopped us from making our port call the first day. Instead we went on through the night and headed straight to our second port where we spend the entire next day.
We did a lot of shopping, walking around town and then me, my brother and dad went on a “semi-submarine” tour of the coral reefs around the area.
The rest of our trip was spent going to shows on the boat, eating, playing putt-putt and shuffle board, eating some more and just relaxing. It was awesome. Here are the photos from the trip…what a fun way to spend our christmas and to end my time living in Alabama!
