I met Cory when I started shooting for Skirt Magazine Birmingham a few years back. At the time she was the editor and once I began shooting for them regularly we became good friends. As Skirt slowly fell victim to the economy, Cory began looking at what was next for her. It turned out a few months studying letter press in North Carolina and beginning her journey to owning her own business, 4 hats press, was exactly what was in store. Cory is absolutely one of the most creative people I’ve ever met, and also one of kindest and most caring. She’s so much fun to be around, and her creativity and constant undertaking of art projects is inspiring. Now Cory’s back in Birmingham and is working at ‘the’ local coffee shop while she is building up her skills at letter press and continuing to write as a  freelancer.  My advice to you:   go meet her…she’ll brighten up your day!
