I figured that a good follow up to Hermana Elma’s post would be Blake, who not only works with her there in Mexico, but also posted for his shoot in Reynosa during my last trip.
Blake works for Harvest Evangelism, the ministry that I went to Mexico with that very first time in 2007, and several times since. He is largely in charge of leading and organizing the teams, and coordinating them while they’re in Mexico. Blake lead our very first trip down and so we got to know him really well that week and forged a friendship that has continued to grow over the past few years.
Blake is an amazing man. He has dedicated his life to missions, whether it be with Harvest or other organizations. He’s always on the move finding ways to serve and help others. He’s such a great team leader, and has a huge heart for the people in Mexico. Every time he’s there he has a crowd of kids around him and you can just see how much they love him.
Now Blake, still working for Harvest and leading trips to Mexico, is also serving on the board of directors for Bedouins International and has been a big part of helping guide us and counsel us as we’ve grown. It was another awesome but unexpected surprise that I got to spend my first assignment for Times Square Church hanging out with Blake in Mexico!

Love this guy! Great shots Stephen!
